Controversy surrounds a couple of upcoming provincial election debates.
The CBC is reporting that the New Brunswick Progressive Conservative party has pulled out of its upcoming televised leaders debate because of the parties who have been invited to take part.
Leaders of all five registered political parties, PC, Liberal, NDP, Green Party and People’s Alliance were scheduled for the September 9th debate, but reports allege that the Conservatives believe only the three main parties should be involved.
Meanwhile, the green party and peoples alliance parties have been excluded from a french language debate…
Officials say the leaders of those two parties are not fluent enough in French.
New Brunswickers head to the polls on September 22nd.
