Put away your winter boots for today. You'll need the rubber boots instead.
We are currently under a rainfall warning for Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick
This system is developing in the Gulf of Mexico, and is bringing some mild conditions.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Roberta McArthur says the rain will start later today, "The system should slide into Moncton but this evening. The heaviest rain should be into the overnight and into Saturday. The rainfall amounts should be around 50 millimetres close to the Moncton region, or potentially higher."
Expect large pools of water on roadways, and there is even the potential of some flooding.
The highest amounts of rain during this system are expected to be along the Fundy Coast, where between 90 and 100 millimetres are forecasted.
Once the rain lets up, it's going to get even messier, as the temperature dips back down..to around -8 Saturday night.
McArthur says there are currently flash freezing warnings out for parts of the province..and she expects we'll see one issued for Moncton later today.
