The Dieppe Fire Department says a section of Champlain Street, between Pascal Avenue and Dieppe Boulevard, has reopened after an early morning fire at Universal Truck and Trailer at 925 Champlain.
Division chief Marc Cormier says firefighters arrived at the business around 5 a.m.
Although he notes it was difficult to access the garage, the fire was brought under control in about half an hour.
No injuries were reported among the staff or firefighters.
Cormier says the fire damaged the inside of the concrete building and there was significant smoke damage.
He adds the investigation is still in the early stages.
RCMP had closed that section of Champlain early this morning and traffic had been diverted.
Champlain St is now open.
